Roasted Garlic Hummus

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cans of Chickpeas

  • 1 Lemon Juices

  • 1 Full Garlic Bulb

  • Sea Salt To Taste

  • Dried Oregano

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)

  • Tahini Sauce

How To:

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 400ºF. Take your garlic bulb and chop off the top. Next, you’re going to take your bulb and put it in some tin foil, drizzle some EVOO, add some salt, and wrap it up. Toss the garlic in the oven for 30-45 minutes

  2. Take 2 cans of chickpeas and drain them. Try to get as much of the skin off as possible, this will help with texture, but don’t stress if you can’t get them all off.

  3. Toss the two cans of drained chickpeas, about 1/4 cup of EVOO, 1/4 cup of tahini sauce, 1 lemon juiced, roughly 3 tablespoons of dried oregano, and salt to taste in a food processor and blend it up. Make sure you’re not blending it to get the perfect consistency yet, you’ll blend it more in a minute.

  4. Take your roasted garlic out of the oven and take off the skin. Toss all of it (yes all, trust me) in the food processor and blend until you have the perfect consistency.

  5. Scoop your hummus onto a plate and top with some more EVOO, lemon juice, and salt (paprika would be delicious on this as well).
